Panel: sign in, roles and screens

The panel is the web interface of the Bastrel cloud. It shows what your servers sent to the API and lets your staff act on it. The resource never needs it: your server detects, bans and logs without the panel (see cloud).

Status: the API routes behind the panel are written; the screens are being built and nothing is deployed yet. The screens below are the planned scope, not a promise of dates. Wording and colours of the panel are not final.

You sign in with your Discord account. Bastrel asks Discord for your identifier only (the identify scope): never your e-mail address. Bastrel reads the identifier once, then revokes the Discord token. There is no password. The session lives on the server, in a cookie the page cannot read (HttpOnly, Secure), and expires after 12 hours without activity.

An account is a Discord identifier. An owner or an admin invites another Discord identifier with a role; the invited person accepts by signing in. No e-mail is needed.

Roles are per account (tenant): owner, admin, moderator and viewer. A user who belongs to several tenants chooses which one to work in. Purchases, the subscription and the deletion of the account are handled by the owner only (see panel-rights).

Read-only screens:

  • Dashboard: detections of the last 24 hours, the most frequent codes, players with a high score, state of your servers.
  • Detections: a filterable list and the detail of each one, with its evidence.
  • Players: search by identifier, history, score and linked bans. Transactions are shown when your plan includes them.
  • Bans: the list and appeals.
  • Audit log: who did what in the panel.

Management screens: configuration (modules, thresholds, lists, global mode, versions, one-click rollback; see remote-config), the observe report, staff, subscription, servers (the secret is shown once and can be rotated) and trial.

The panel shows references, not raw identifiers, and never a player name or an IP address, because that is all the cloud receives (see uplink). A ban lifted in the panel is lifted on your server at its next synchronisation.

The panel is available in English and French. Its theme follows the setting of your operating system (light or dark), changes when the system changes, and has a selector with three choices: System (default), Light and Dark.
